Spotlight: Temporary Liquor Permits for Non-Profits

The Spotlight series is intended to provide helpful information about important business and professional licenses issued by the State of Florida. This installation is on the “ODP” - the state permit that allows certain organizations to sell beer, wine, and liquor at events.
What is an ODP?
A One, Two, Three Day Permit (b/k/a “ODP”) allows a non-profit organization to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises (for a period not to exceed 3 days for a single event). Such organizations are limited to 12 permits per calendar year, except that some small areas within Bay, Indian River, Lake, Leon, Marion, and Pinellas Counties that are allowed to have an additional 15 permits per calendar year.
How do I qualify ?
To qualify for the One, Two, Three Day Permit (ODP) license, the applicant must submit proof of non-profit status, proof of zoning approval, a sketch of the premises, and sales tax certification. College sororities and fraternities may apply for an ODP subject to special requirements laid out in the permit application.
How much does it cost?
$25 per permit.
What else do I need to know ?
As the permit holder, the non-profit organization is the only entity that may receive any of the profits from the sale of alcoholic beverages on this permit. Sharing of profits or revenue is not permitted.
All records of alcoholic beverage sales must be retained for examination by the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco. Please note that the state will not issue an ODP for any type of gambling event.
